  • Below Features are important , it should be installed 100 %
    Office Shared Features
    Office Tools
    Microsoft Office Outlook

It difficult to identify the cause, but i must say your office installation is not complete.

While you install office 2007 there is option "Complete Installation ", give a try to this.

    Install full office.

    Hi Brij,

    This my testing result:
    1. load you out look (yup, able to load the outlook)
    2. press Alt+F11 (nothing show on the screen and this as well Tools > Macro > Visual Basic Editor. The most important is no error pop up, just the Visual Basic Editor not able to call up)
    3. press Cntrl + R (nothing happen as well )
    4. From Project Explorer Double click on "ThisOutlookSession" (It is under Project1(VbaProject.OTM)-->Microsoft Office Outlook Objects (I also try copy the VbaProject.OTM that I use for Outlokk 2003 and paste into C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook and try load the outlook repeat the step [2] and [3]. Also the Visual Basic Editor not successful call up)

    This are the outlook version:
    - Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 (12.0.4518.1014) MS (12.0.4518.1014)
Part of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007

  • In Your System,
I your system is having other MS-office version installed, which has "outlook ",
if this is the case then move to control panel and select MS-Office 2007 select Change  and try to repair this.

Hope this will solve you problem. Thanks.

  • Can you check
    From Add or Remove Features

    Installation Options
Microsoft Office-->Office Shared Features --> Visual Basic For Application

Visual Basic For Application is install properly, selected properly. if not then select and install it.

    and one more thing ,
If any other ms-office version is install then remove outlook of that version, after removing other version outlook , reinstall outlook of 2007.

Lets hope this will work. Thanks.

  • Please confirm below thing. It could be the one of the reason.
    1. Can you check, this problem is with only outlook or any other ms-office component like word, excel , access also ?
    2. Can you check what "anti virus " is installed, is there any setting for Macros or specific to outlook in anti virus. Some time anti virus software has there addins which may be the one of reason that you are not able to load vb editor.
    Thanks.

  • Hi,

    1. Can you check, this problem is with only outlook or any other ms-office component like word, excel , access also ? (Just only happen on Outlook. Word and Excel working fine and don't have any access)
    2. Can you check what "anti virus " is installed, is there any setting for Macros or specific to outlook in anti virus. Some time anti virus software has there addins which may be the one of reason that you are not able to load vb editor.  (the anti virus installed is Symantec Antivirus, I believe the antivirus didn't block the macro if it blocked I believe Word and Excel will face the same problem )

    Thank You

  • Hi, I had the same issue with outlook 2007.

I found on another forum :

The Visual Basic Editor could have been marked as an disabled item.

    Help-> About-> Disabled Items ...

    it worked immediately for me.
