Drillthrough using GoToURL

    Question

  • Hi All,

I have 2 reports. One is parent report and the other one is child report. I am using GoToURL in Action of a Textbox properties and the expression is

This is taking me to the right child report, but the parameter is not selected in the dropdown of child report automatically (value is passed in url). And, the child report should automatically. Inshort, GoToURL should behave like GoToReport funtionality. Can someone please help me out with this?

    Thanks,

    Mannaha.

  • Hi Mannaha,

According to your description, you have a parameter named CustNumber in the child report, you want to use “Go To URL” option to pass Customer’s value from the parent report to the child report as CustNumber’s value. Then when you click the value of Customer in the parent report, it jumps to the child report with the value passed, and all the data meets filter criteria will be displayed in the child report. To achieve your goal, please refer to the following expression:

    ="javascript:void(window.open('http://Server/reportserver/Pages/ReportViewer.aspx?%2fAccount%2fAccount+Detail&rs:Command=Render&CustNumber="&Fields!Customer.Value&" '))"

For more information about URL Access Parameter Reference, please refer to the following article:

If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know.
