How Do I Completely Hide the Media Player Controls and Statusbar?

    Question

  • Hi There:

I just upgraded from VS 2005 to VS 2008 and my application works fine except for one thing:

I used to be able to have a window with a mediaplayer control for playing videos.  The mediaplayer control had its playback bar hidden and playback was activated by a button on a different form.  This was originally on computers with Windows Media 9.

When the computers were upgraded from WMP9 to 10 and 11, suddenly a playback bar and status line appeared in my application windows.

Now in VS2008/WMP10+11 I am trying to hide the playback controls using "playerUImode=invisible" but it doesn't work.  The playback control is still visible underneath the video.
In addition, there is a status bar upon playback showing "Connecting..." and then the name of the file being played back.

I don't want any of these controls or status bars showing upon video playback.
Can anyone help?  I would be very appreciative.
