  • Today when i'm configrting sharepoint 2010 my wizard got strucked at step 3 some times step4 and it took almost 2-3 hours to complete and on other hand while creating first webappliction it took almost 1 hour for weapplication+sitecollection+site I tried sandalone installation it worked wel with 4and 6 gb but when communicating between servers i think its getting delayed. my network speed is 10gbps both. during installation first sharepoint will create a config and next admin databases during this operation server speed is slow and ram not evern utilizing 50%. Nothing found in event logs but in 14 hive logs i'm seeing a time delay when it is creating database objects on database server. last thing i tried today was i have a development server where same version of sql is running. i tried to point to that database from sharepoint wizard but i faced same speed issue over there so i'm thinking it is some thing a network related issue my database servername (TestSPDB) i installed sql on that and my sql default instance name (Same as server name TestSPDB.. Is this be a problem) any suggestion .....................?
