The request failed with HTTP status 400: Bad Response From Server

    Question

  • Problem:

    A web service is hosted on IIS 5.0 and a client(exe) invokes the web method and send the zip file as a byearray to webservice.

    While transfering the data we receive the below error

    The request failed with HTTP status 400: Bad Response From Server or
    The server committed a protocol violation. Section=ResponseStatusLine

    Operating System : Windows 2000 Advanced Server (web Service hosted)

    Sometimes, we are also getting the below error.

  • Could you please also let me know whether the maxRequestLength will affect the data transfer. We are currently set it to default and transfering the data around 300KB
