HTTP Error 405 - The HTTP verb used to access this page is not allowed

    Question

  • HTTP Error 405 - The HTTP verb used to access this page is not allowed.

What is the relevance of above error code while doing performance testing? How can we (being a Performance Tester) get rid of this?

  • Hi,

This means that the request url doesnt accept the method you have used in your test (GET, PUT, POST, etc)

Try to see what method is used in the request header and then see if its listed in the Allow values of response header

    Thanks,
