  • Seems you don't like it. The people at my office were awestruck :-)

Change one thing and that changes everything :-)

  • Well, I'll own up & say that I absolutely HATE it.

There was NO reason for them to remove color (even though they've put a tiny bit back)

I also hate all of this "Metro" nonsense.

Unfortunately, this will all have been imposed on the LightSwitch team, I doubt that they had any choice in the matter, they've just done what they've been instructed to do, however horrible it might be.

I also find it a bit ironic that they're taking color from VS, yet the rest of Metro is big "tile" of color everywhere.

  • Hi guys,

The VS team has definitely heard the feedback :-). If you'd like to chime in, please do so on UserVoice:

  • I LOVE it. I run it in Dark mode and am THRILLED with the new icons & the way that it looks... I transitioned from VS 2010 and actually find things to be a lot easier now with the look & feel.

  • IMHO, VS2012 runs about 1bazillion times faster than VS2010.  I don't care if the final release is all-pink-zebra-striped, my muscle memory will take over after a while anyways, as long as the performance of the IDE stays as good as it is now, I'll be happy! :-)

(EXCEPT... For the new "Start with data screen".  Now that's just plain ugly :(   )

    Keep rocking LS!
