    Observations:
    1. No matter what options I choose, IE always closes with no solution.
    2. The errors seem to occur during access to secure sites requiring a password.

What I have done so far:
    1. I re-installed/updated
    -Adobe Reader/Flash/Macro/Air
    -Java
    -and ran Microsoft Update

As Microsoft so simply puts it in many of their error messages:
    The problem persists.

The properties of each file shown in the error information above, including jscript9.dll, shows Microsoft as the manufacturer - so I believe I am posting my problem with the correct company. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate, SP1, 32-bit on a Dell Latitude D620. I am signed onto my computer as an Administrator, with UAC off. I have Avast! free, but the problem persist even if I disable the Avast! software. In advance - Thank you for your time and any help you may be able to provide.

    ADDED INFORMATION:
Today I have had the error 4 times, and each time was while searching for something on Google. I typed something into the main page search box.. after the results appeared I pressed "Image" at the top. As soon as the images began to display, up popped the error... exactly as above. This only happened during one day while using Google. I have not had any other errors, any other time, while using Google.

    ADDED INFORMATION:
Today I was logged onto AmericanExpress.com, I switched over to my financial program's window.... suddenly this.

There was no warning of the impending doom. I chose (without much faith) the "Check for solution" option, only to have IE close the window on me - no follow-up messages, not even a "Dear John" letter. I simply had to start over, as usual. Is anyone reading these posts?
