Keyboard

    Question

  • Hi!

I tried to install a second keyboard on my laptop.

My keyboard has got a PS2 plug.

I had to put it in an USB slot.

    I used a PS2/USB adaptator.

I had an error message telling me that the USB device was not recognized.

My operating system is Windows XP.

My keyboard works in the plug and play mode on a PC with Windows XP.

I want to change the keyboard configuration in Windows XP.

Please tell me the forum where I can post my request.

  • Hello, everybody,

            Hello, a1b2k3, nice name !

You must first reported in the Bios , you use a USB keyboard and disable in this Bios the support of
PS2, Keyboard, or let it on " auto " detection.
Adjust your option to "Legacy" USB keyboard.
Dont' Forget that your Operating system must also set to PnP-system .

Thereafter, under XP, make sure, in Device Manager the absence of PS2 Keyboard .
            Two keyboards = conflict.

If it does'nt work, take a look at this library link:
