  • Hi Minni,

I have tested it on my local environment (SQL Server Reporting Services 2012 on Windows Server 2008 R2), the issue has no been solved in this version. you can submit a feedback at http://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/Feedback and hope it is resolved in the next release of service pack or product.

    Thank you for you understanding.

  • Thanks Charlie for confirming. I too checked it on my system and thought may be some change in reportserver config can resolve this. Another point is I tried using VS2012 for creating RDL files but it cannot support so i am using VS2010 only for reports, what are you using?

  • Hi Minni,

To create Business Intelligence (BI) projects, we need the Business Intelligence de elopement Studio (BIDS) which is a component of SQL Server and shipped with SQL Server Editions. In SQL Server 2008 R2 and earlier versions, it is known as BIDS and in SQL Server 2012 it is known as SQL Server Development Tool (SSDT). I use SSDT to create a sample report. For more information, please see:
Reporting Services in SQL Server Data Tools (SSRS)

  • Thanks Charlie. I am also using SSDT which comes with SQL Server 2012. SSDT uses VS 2010, doesnt support VS 2012 so i wanted to confirm if it can support VS 2012 also. I dont think so.
