    WPF Gurus:

I'm looking for some guidance with respect to quickly coming up to speed on some specific areas of WPF, but I'm not sure where to start.  I'd like to describe the prototype I need to put together and see if there is an outline of WPF topics I can focus on to quickly come up to speed.  I'm an experienced software architect/developer in the MS arena for going on 15 years.  So, I have plenty of C#, C++, COM, XML, etc. experience.  That said, most of my work has been in the backend, multi-threaded service end of things - with limited work on the UI end of things.

I need to create a WPF prototype that has the following characteristics:
    * multiple areas in the app: 1 3D area + other 2D dockable panels
    * 3D surface area to drop things into.  I will be creating the things, so the surface will have knowledge about what a thing is.
    * include the actual XAML in the thing being dropped onto the surface, so the 3D surface can extract the thing's XAML and display it

There are other details, but these are the primary things I need my prototype to do.  So, if my request is not too over-the-top, I'd really appreciate any suggestions on WPF topics I can focus on [in order, if required].

    Thanks,
    Bob DeRemer
