Custom Domain Name for an Azure Website
-
Sonntag, 10. Juni 2012 22:24Currently attaching additional host names to Azure Websites is possible only in Reserved mode ($57.60 for a small instance). Is this by design? Or there are some temp technical problems preventing this feature to work in a shared environment and you're looking into the way of adding custom host names in the near feature? Or is it something put in place as an “upgrade” feature so that reserved instances are more attractive. Please explain.

See http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/windowsazuredevelopment/thread/4a6ad501-3528-46b6-bc45-8bbe5cf2d919 for a similar thread. In short, website will support CNAME in the future (but not in the current preview). Please mark the replies as answers if they help or unmark if not.
