I want to run my coded UI test in win8 OS.
Can TFS ALM 2010 support to run this test cases in win8 OS and Metro Style application?
Could anyone give me any suggestion about it?

Hi weiyi,
Thank you for your post.
According to your description of the issue, here are some situations i want to clarify from you:
1. Did you use MTM to run Coded UI test, or use VS test agent to run CodedUI test?
2. Did you want to know install TFS 2010 on Win 8 then run Coded UI test in Win 8 is supported or not?
3. Did you want to know run Coded UI test in Win 8 is supported or not?
4. What do you mean by "run this test cases in win8 OS and Metro Style application"?
5. What's the version of your VS?As far as i know,
1. Coded UI test could run in Win 8 OS, but may have some limitations. For detail information, you can refer to Supported Configurations and Platforms for Coded UI Tests and Action Recordings.
2. Install TFS 2010 on Win 8 is not support now.
3. Metro style appliaction is not supported in terms of VS 2010 Coded UI test.I hope this information will help resolve this issue.
If anything is unclear, please free feel to let me know.

Hi Lily:
I indeed tend to use MTM 2010 to run codec UI test in Win8 OS.
TFS agent 2010 and TFS controller 2010 are installed in my test machine .
Should I run TFS Build service 2010 in Test ENV ?
And Should I transfer my way into TFS2011 + VS2011.
Best Regards
Weiyi

Not supported. http://blogs.msdn.com/b/visualstudioalm/archive/2012/03/05/visual-studio-11-beta-what-is-new-in-coded-ui-test.aspx
Transferring your way to TFS 11, VS 11 would be a good approach.
