Context menu not showing when running in Blend Interactive Mode

We are showing a Context menu in our metro app via onClick handler and new Windows.UI.Popups.PopupMenu() ..showAsync(). This works well when we run the application but I cannot get the menu to show in Blend when using the interactive mode. Is there a short cut key or something I have to press to simulate a normal click?
Unfortunately much of our app requires to get past this first click so Blend is of not much use at the moment.
Any ideas?
