How to check Email status in VS 2010 Team Web Access?

Hello,

We just started to use TFS 2010. Our analysts like "Send as Email" function in Team Web Access. As we know, in the "To" field, we have to enter the email address manually. Sometimes the other user does not receive emails. Our guess is there must be a typo in the "To" email address but cann't verify that.

Question 1 - Is it possible to pop up a message box (or something alike) to inform user that sending email is successful or failed?

Question 2 - Is there any way or any tool to check email status?

Hello samli_2005,

For your issue I consult my mentor and I am sorry that I can't figure you one appropriate solution for the moment. If you want to check out the email send out result (succeed or failed), I am afraid you need to check out the event logs in the Event Viewer for the detailed information.

Hello,

Are there any plans to modify TFS Web Access 2010 to include functionality that will give users ability to select a recepient for your e-mail rather than typing e-mail address in the TO: box while sending work item or query via e-mail? The addresses could be pulled from the ADObjects table in TFS database.
