Latest version of SQL Server 2005 SMO

Question

Hi All,

I am looking for latest version of SQL Server 2005 SMO. When i did google for this, i found below links only and those doesn't seem latest.

So want to know whether there are any plans to release lastest 2005 SMO version or we have to solve SMO dependent issue with possible workarounds. Below are the issues which are solved with workaround as compabile SMO is not available for SQL Server 2005.

Hello Hardik,

You can use SMO of 2008/2008R2/2012 to get the latest version of SMO.

Thanks. But as shared above, I am looking for latest version of SQL Server 2005 SMO. We are already using SQL Server 2008 SMO to perform operation with SQL Server 2008.

In case you come across latest version of SQL Server 2005 SMO. - which is latest than above shared - please be kind to let me know.

Hello,

I don't understand the problem, with e.g. SMO 2008R2 you can also manage a SQL Server 2005.

You can get the latest SMO 2005 from the latest feature pack for SQL Server 2005, it's from december 2008 : Feature Pack for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - December 2008
