I have several jobs that run on a variety of recurring schedules. Recently however, I have a few of them that the result is "Successful" but they produce no result. The jobs send the results through email although I don't think that is important since if I run the job either in a query window, or just right clicking the job and running it its works fine. It just will not run on schedule. Several other scheduled jobs do run fine. Both the job and the schedule are enabled.

Its a regular issue or happen on adhoc basis.
There may be a case server is busy or some other issue. Check SQL server error log & SQL agent log for nearest timesstamp.

Freitag, 15. Februar 2013 21:01Is this the only job that sends email ? its possible that the email got queued so the job completed successfully, but the queued email never got sent . As Rohit suggested, please do take a look at the server error logs, sql error logs, sql agent log and database mail logs
