PowerPivot for Excel MDX query timeouts

Hi all,

Using the PowerPivot plugin for Excel, I noticed a MDX query for a table I need return the following after 60 seconds:

"XML for Analysis parser: The XML for Analysis request timed out before it was completed."

Is there any workaround to this? I tried changing the timeout values via Sql Server Management Studio for the analysis server but that doesn't seem to help. The MDX query runs fine on Sql Server Management Studio anyway, and several other queries that take a while to retrieve data still work, suggesting it's caused by Excel.

Hi ,

What version of PowerPivot you are using? If you are using CTP3, you should try RTM I think we have fixed some of these time out issues in it.
