Blank values for all but "count"

Hi all,

here´s probably a simple question:

I am using PowerPivot for Excel and I am connected to an AS cube. I have imported a couple of measures and dimensions into powerpivot, get a few 10000's of rows and then created a report on this. However, I only get values when using "count". "Sum" and the rest give me blank cells... Why is that?

This is because the measure is imported as text data type, instead of numeric data type. For text data, the only aggregate function applicable is COUNT function. The reason for importing measure as text data is explained in the following forum post
