Answered DQS Client only install

    Hi All,

Does anyone know if an installer is available for the DQS client only?

It feels like a bit of overkill to have to go through all the prerequisites for the full SQL Server install on an end user machine just to put the client on.

    Thanks

The DQ Client is a separate feature checkmark in the SQL Setup, but the setup does require the same SQL prereqs (.Net 4.0, etc) as the rest of SQL.

There is not a standalone installer download or package to run. Its along the same lines as Management Studio or BIDS (Data Tools) which are packaged in the same way.

    Thanks, Jason

    Hi Jason,

BIDS and Management Studio are development Tools which are not specifically designed for Business users. I am surprised at decision by Microsoft to bundle it same way considering self services objectives, this is not fitting bill. Question is, whether DQS client tool is for developers or business users?

    Thanks,
