deploying web part to sharepoint server

Question

Hello,

I just created my first web part and success to deploy it to my sharepoint in localhost, however once I tried to deploy it to the production server, I got error:

Cannot connect to the Sharepoint site: http://xxx  Make sure that the Site URL is valid, that the Sharepoint site is running on the local computer. If you moved this project to a new computer or if the URL of the Sharepoint site has changed since you created the project, update the Site URL property of the project.

But I can browse the sharepoint website for productio  in my browser. Anyone can help me to fix this error? Thanks

How do you deploy? Maybe there is a Problem with your Site url. stsadm or Powershell?

Hi Francesco,

I deployed it from microsoft visual studio. Is it possible deploy to production server from localhost using visual studio?

Am einfachsten ist es, eine wsp zu erstellen (einfach übersetzen, die wsp steht dann neben der ddl im Ausgabeverzeichnis, z.B. bin). Die wsp wird dann über die Powershell auf dem Prod-Server installiert, z.B. mit add-spsolution.

Es ist nicht möglich von einer Entwicklungsmaschine zu einem produktiven System per Visual Studio zu deployen. Das geht nur auf dem eigenen Rechner (localhost)
