Unknown SQL Exception from SharePoint?

Out of nowhere, we started to get an error on our SharePoint logs:
Unknown SQL Exception 297 occurred. Additional error information from SQL Server is included below. The user does not have permission to perform this action.
I read that you had to grant View Server State to the main account in SQL, but that didn't work. I hate having any exceptions in a logfile, especially when you're trying to track down others. Can someone offer some advice on what I can look at for this error? It's flooding my logfiles!!
Thanks in advance!

Donnerstag, 5. Juli 2012 15:15Despite what the SQL guys had told me, the VIEW SERVER STATE was NOT granted to my Farm account. Once we granted this, the error went away. This whole post could have probably have been prevented had we verified it was enabled the first time.... my fault - but it's fixed... thanks
