    Hi,

Make sure the account you are using to crawl the content have full read access to the content.

Go to Manage web application->select the webapplication-> from the ribbion select user policy-> add the user which is used to crawl the content with full read access.

To find the account that is used for crawling->< go to manage service application-> select the search service application->check what is the default access account.

    Thanks,

    Sudan

    Hi,

Check in the Manage Service application->Search service application->Content source->

Edit the content source and check whether you have included the sps3://yourservername.

    Thanks,

    Sudan

    Thank u so much....

I got the required output. But want to ask you something.I have changed the target page as peopleresult.aspx then for all the search it used to search from peopleresults.aspx and not from results.aspx..So I again changed it to results.aspx and then it is now searching for people from peopleresults.aspx and for rest of the site it is searching from results.aspx.The output is perfect but i just want to know where i was going wrong?and How is it working?can you tell me the logic behind this?

    Hi,

Usually search center will have two tabs one for searching the content and another one for searching the people.

If you have not created the tab. Please refer the following link.

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd861488%28v=office.12%29.aspx

The results all depends on the result page in which it is getting displayed. The peopleresults.aspx have different webpart and the results.apsx have differnt webpart.

    Thanks,

    Sudan

    Hi Sudan,

Can I add a list of items within the given scopes for search?

I mean I want to categorise the content option in the search dropdown e.g. for content scope i want a new dropdown on click of it like documents, blogs, lists etc.Is it present in OOB features in sharepoint? How to do that? Please suggest...
