Error when copying WF in SPD

Question

In SPD I'm trying to make a copy of the "Approval - Sharepoint 2010" 

When I right-click it I get: "This Workflow is read-only Would you like to make a copy of it?"

when I click Yes

I get:

Click the details button: 

can someone tell me why and who to fix it?  (logged in as site collection admin in SPD )

see if Wayne's reply in the following forums helps you. Basically you will need to perform this action from the root of your site collection.
