Microsoft commerce server 2009 r2 discount

Question

Hi

I am using the Microsoft commerce Server 2009 r2

I am fetching a Problem. and I am new with CS.

Problem: I want to create a discount that is only for one time from user Registration.

Detailed: I want to give a 20 % off on any backpack. but this is only for the kids age is 15 to 20.. and only for one time. customer A came and his age is 19 years .he gets a discount but next time he visit he didn't get this discount..

for that i create a target expression age= 15 to 20( i added a custom profile property)

Discount type=Simple discount.

Catalog expression=backpack.

its work

but how can i check this customer already got a discount and we don't need to give next time. (We need some changes in pipeline i dont know)

Any one help me.

Hi Pinal,

There is nothing stopping you putting a flag field in the Profiles if you give the discount.

But I think you can get a more elegant solution using promotion codes.

But smith my requirement is we can not use promo code. than any other way to handle it..

Then you could set a flag in the Profile user object if you gave the discount.

 Hi Pinal , 

you must be set the flag value during the order process or I can say during checkout. So once you set the flag and when the same user come back to purchase and applying the same discount you can pop message on the basis of the flag value.
