Anyone has a theme made for WSP that would mind sharing?

I was wonder if anyone has already made themes for WSP 1.2.0 and would like to share them.

Hi,

I don't have extra custom themes available for WSP. However, if you want to develop your own themes for wsp, I believe the wsp skin designer toolkit would help:

Thanks for the reply.

 

I tried with different URL even the demo form WSP

http://demo.websitepanel.net

 

All gave the same error:

“This URL does not lead to a valid WebsitePanel installation, please enter a correct url.”

 

So I could not use it.

I receive an "unhandled exceptions" which is different as the one you encountered, same if I try "http://demo.websitepanel.net". However, I was able to continue if I click continue on the error box.

I will let you know if I have further information/resources on this requirement.

I've got couple.

Download Portal.ZIP and extract it to Portal Directory, overwrite SupportedThemes.config and you are good to go.

BTW. All of the themes and more stuff for WSP will be availble at http://wspproject.com or http://wspproject.info/. If you have any interest or time, you can join me. This is none profit website and it wont even have adds or anything like that. Lets move WSP forward and help others.

Please take note these are the files used by the DEFAULT theme - i did not yet have time to package it as a propper wsp theme (any help with that will be convenient :))

(sorry to share it in this way - at this point - once i got some more time the files will be more propperly packaged - it's been a long time back since i made this theme ^^)

I Will finish up on connectyouroffice.nl theme shortly (it still got some bugs and improvements left) - and will try to package that one correctly as a propper wsp theme.

For the initiative of wspproject, sounds good but does that site also give creadit to the creators etc? :) (can always use more backlinks haha)

and i really suck at names.. haha but i guess something like Key_gravy (if you got a better suggestion i'm all ears haha ;))

connectyourhosting.nl is not in an iframe. it is using css styles from the original joomla site.

For this site i used default.aspx (main page in portal) and wrapped the existing web code around the place holder (very effective!)

This one was part of 3 other sites where the first (original) is in Joomla, Second is WHMCS and third is WSP (maybe a fourth for webmail soon too)

all of them cary the same jacket.. the WSP is however the least succesful one because i did not find a way to create the vertical menu links into a Horizantal menu - and i have not been succesfull to put the javascript in WSP's (asp.net) code.. for some reason the menu only works at the login form but once logged in - the javascript doesn't function propper.

So it's not what i want yet, but for now it will do haha :)

The few things i still want to improve are the vertical menu's and general "mouse over effects" i will create in CSS instead of images which it currently uses (i think WSP is already heavy enough to load for alot of servers - so to make the graphics mostly with CSS code will be a plus :D)

I named it  Key Gravy and fixed the login page so it looks litle beter now (if you going to go back to the demo site, clear your cookie or you will get an error),  I will post it on the website shortly. 

I need to try to do that to, I'm using joomla for my website to only 2.5 version. I did meke vertical menu items in WSP on one of my lab servers. I wil post step by steb on the site litle bit later.

After a good weekend i started working on the connectyourhosting theme a little bit more (which is now nearly finished)

I should be able to package it by 2morrow.

There is however a few questions i got:

1) The icons --> is there a way to wrap the mouseover effert over the whole thing? (including text that have dropped off like MS App gallery --> the text is outside the mouseover effect.. thats kinda sad :P

2) any information about javascript usage in asp.net and in particular WSP (after login!) will be great - as once logged in WSP disables all java effects minimizing my layout to a win 98 style theme (no much effects)

3) The horizantal menu.. part talked about above.. is there an easy way to "add" links to it? as my problem has always been linking (as all links contain user ID / Space ID etc --> i do not know how to do this dynamically (like the left menu)

Hey and thanks for the reply,

The ASP page i have seen already..

I think the JS code gets issues because of "asp:ScriptManager"

(that one gets called for on the pages where JS stops functioning or partially functions).

I must also say that i'm a designer.. and only know basic codes - which in this case gets me "stuck" as all that code mentioning is above my skills haha :)

For the Link system in WSP a moderator in the seperated topic is trying to figure out how it works , hopefully he can figure it out.

as the custom pages information: that is a different subject ;) Those will be convenient for including (which will be the next step) so people don't have to edit/ change 5 layout pages in app_skins

Both themes can use some improvements and where not originally intended as an theme. I hope i have enough time in the near future to create a better theme (with javascript and modern features) once i got some more spare time.. in the mean time: hopefully you found the themes usefull
