This is almost certainly a hoax.
The most important thing to remember is that Microsoft and the Hotmail team will never ask for your password. The other indicator is simply the content and the lack of proper grammar and punctuation. I count at least 10 different punctuation and/or grammar errors.

17. března 2008 15:18Thank you for the reply...I felt that Microsoft, like yourself, would never ask for your Password. I will inform my sister of the fact as she is in Zambia. Thank you again...John

This is a hoax indeed, if she would submit her username and password, her account will probably be hacked and used for sending spam or something like that.
Please let her report this message by clicking the report button. This will help stop these messages.

Hi Alex,
I have forward your e-mail to my sister in Zambia. In her last e-mail she told me her internet connection kept going out, so it maybe tomorrow before she has it. Hopefully, she will be up long enough to reply to it.
Thank you and the other person for all your help...it is most appreciated. Our only connection with her is by e-mail...the jungle doesn't offer much help...again THANK YOU!

10. června 2010 18:54I just received the same email today (I'm in the UK). I'm pretty sure it's a hoax. I replied saying you take this as confirmation that my account is active but there's no way I'm giving you my password.
