Hi George_46,
Welcome to the MSDN forum.
It is strange, so would you please share information with us? A screen shot is very helpful . My understanding is that the powerpack controls can’t be drag when you create your first application. So which application it is, WindowForm application or any other application?
Firstly, I will suggest you to check whether the powerpack control is available for your application. Please check the color of powerpack control. If it is gray, I’m afraid that this control is not available for current application. Create a new WindowForm application to try it.
If it is white as other controls. You can create a new WindowForm application to try whether it can be reappearance. If yes, I’m afraid that something is wrong in your VS. You can try to fix it by repairing it or just reinstall it. Please download the specific VS version in following link: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/vstudio/bb984878.aspx
Hope this help.
