Unanswered Modification of default TFS Reports

Trying to add a couple of additional fields to the remaining work report, but keep getting the following error:

An error occurred during client rendering.
An error has occurred during report processing.Query execution failed for dataset 'dsWorkItemHistory'.
For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors

Not sure what all needs to be modified with the new fields. It seems to do that only when I add the information to the 'query' section. The other place I made a change ws to the 'fields' section. When ever I added it to the 'parameters' section two new text fields show up on the report website.

Using report builder 2.0; TFS 2010

    Hello BossHogg20,

Based on your above description, it seems that actually you use Report Builder 2.0 to create one new dataset. And when you run query for that new ceated dataset, you get the "Query execution failed" error message.

If my understanding is correct, please offer me the detailed error message you got. And please also make sure that you have the permission to access the Tfs2010ReportDS and Tfs2010OlapReportDS data-sources.

    Thanks.

    Vicky,

The error was shown above. It is:

    __________________

An error occurred during client rendering.
An error has occurred during report processing.Query execution failed for dataset 'dsWorkItemHistory'.
For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors

I don't think it is a permissions issue because I can run the original report without the additional fields added.

    Hello BossHogg20,

I am sorry that I can't extract more information from the error messages you offered above. And I am not the Report Builder expert, I can't figure out where you can get the more detailed error messages. In my opinion, the required permissions for you to view reports in the Reporting Server and to create a dataset in the Report Builder should be different (I am not sure, but I think view reports maybe just need "Read" permission while add a new dataset maybe need "Write or Administrator" permissions).

I think you need to reopen one new case on the SSRS forum, may the reporting service experts can help you further.

    Thanks.

I opened a case in the other forum.

If you are referring to the permission in the screen shot below, then I have access to all.

    Hi BossHogg20,

I just suspect that your issue may be caused by permissions, I am not sure about it as I am not the Report Builder expert. I nocited that you opened one new case on the SSRS forum, and I hope SSRS experts can help you futher. And if you still have anything unclear about TFS, welcome back.

    Thanks.

Figured out that reference names were never added for those in the work item type setup fields.

Found all except the reference names for 'Work Item Count' and 'Cumulative Count'. Does anybody know what they are?
