SQL 2012 only shows 'table' as option for Explore Data (e.g., missing pivot, chart)

Question

I installed SQL 2012 with everything, went in to create a new data mining solution.

After adding a new data source and DSV, when I am in a DSV and right click to explore the data it only shows the 'table' view and doesn't offer any of the other choices.

I thought it might be because Excel/office wasn't installed so I installed Office Pro 2010 and then added the data mining add-in and still have the same problem.  Is there any way to get these viewers installed?

Hi Robert, do you have SQL Server 2012 RC0 installed or CTP3?

I have the RTM bits installed, but here are the versions shown from help/about:

I did install prior CTP3 and RC0 bits, but uninstalled them prior to installing RTM..  do you think there is something left over from prior installs causing a problem?

I believe, table view is the only option awailable in RC0, but this should change in the RTM build.

Will the missing 'Pivot Table, Chart, Pivot Chart' views ever be included again? Because as of today i do not see them and i can't find any information about it.

If not does anyone know a substitute?

I'm not from Microsoft, but as far as I know, those views were removed in SQL Server 2012 and there is no plan to add them back. (Those views were using old controls that are not supported any more)

You can use Excel to explore your data.

Thanks for your answer, i feared that this is the case. Excel does not really do the same job, but it'll have to do then.
