SQL Reports - With Standard Version of Sharepoint

Question

I have installed the SharePointRS.msi.
But could not see the "Reporting Services", under Application Management.

I am using standard Version of Sharepoint 2007.

Please help me....

Please make sure you have followed the steps to configure the reporting service:

• How to: Configure SharePoint Integration on a Stand-alone Server
• How to: Configure SharePoint Integration on Multiple Servers

 

If the "Reporting Services" section didn't disappear then, please let me know the topology of your farm and logs in the Event Viewer for further research.

I could not install the SharePointRS.Follwoing is the error.

Install error: The EXECUTE permission was denied on the object 'proc_putObject', database 'VDevMossSharePoint_Config', schema 'dbo'.

I sort the erlier SQl issue.

But i am still having issue with installation of SharePointRS.

I have compted the installation some how.

But could not see the "Reporting Services", in the Application Management.

Did you follow steps 7 and 8 on the link above provided? (Repasted below)

7. After the install, you will probably need to navigate to Central Administration >  Site Actions > Site Settings and under the heading Site Collection Administration click Site Collection Features.
8. From there, click activate on Report Server Integration Feature
9. The settings for SSRS will now have their sub section on the Application Management tab in Central Admin

Is the Reporting Services Integration feature missing from the list of Site Collection Features in Central Admin?

Yes, Reporting Services Integration feature missing from the list of Site Collection.

But after installation my Log says installation is complete and configuration required.

What is the farm configuration? One or multiple servers?

When the installation said it succeeded, where you still walking through the GUI or using the command line steps indicated in my link?

To get this installed, make sure you are logged in as a user that has MOSS farm admin privileges, and make sure to run the command prompt with elevated permissions.  Check the outcode codes as well, example below:

I still have th error.

as following,

SSRSCustomActionError: SharePoint is installed, but not configured.

I am using One web server and SQL sever.(Farm Cofiguration, but missing on Front end server).

I don't know which is configration i am missing.

Does the account you are logged into while installing this have the proper privileges on the SQL server? If the account you are logged into on the web server does not have permissions to the SQL Server and the associated MOSS databases, then the install will fail.

I am stuck with follwoing error.

SSRSCustomActionError: Failed to find the XML file at location '12\Template\Feat
ures\ReportServer\feature.xml'

Do i need to do anything with the template folder?

I have only one Server(Front end server and webserver) and SQL Server in farm configuration.

Due to repeated installs that didn't fully work, you probably need to do a proper uninstall, then install to make sure all the files get deployed fully.

From the command line, run rsSharePoint.msi -u.  After it completes, start fresh from the steps listed above.

hmmm.  At the moment, the only other thing I can suggest is to do the following:
- uninstall the RS bits so you are starting from scratch
- Pause all web sites in IIS
