We are getting errors in the Application event log on our MOSS server whenever we try to "Grant Database Access" in Central Admin.

OK, here's our environment (everything was working independently prior to this installation):

    Server1 - Windows Server 2008 running MOSS 2007 SP1 (version = 12.0.6219.1000)
    Server2 - Windows Server 2003 running SQL Server 2005 SP2 + Reporting Services

Here are the steps we performed during the install of the Reporting Services Add-In

    1.  Installed the Add-In on Server1 (version = 9.00.3042.00)
    2.  Installed WSS 3.0 on Server2 and applied SP1 (version = 12.0.6219.1000)
    3.  Ran the SharePoint Config Wizard on Server2, connecting it to the existing farm
    4.  Ran the Reporting Services Configuration wizard on Server2...
        a.  Verified that all services were running under domain accounts
        b.  Created a new database in SharePoint Integrated mode
        c.  All items are green checks except...Report Manager Virtual Directory is greyed out, Initialization is greyed out but checked
    5.  Enabled the Report Server Integration Feature in Central Admin on Server1
    6.  Set the "Manage integration settings" options to http://server2/ReportServer/ and Windows Authentication.
    7.  Set the "Grant database access" options to Server1 and Default Instance.

At this point, a series of errors show up in the Application Event Log on Server1....

Database {DB} on SQL Server instance {Server2} is not empty and does not match current database schema.

....but the Central Admin function appears to finish because it returns you to the Application Management page.

When trying to apply the "Set server defaults" options, it just returns the error....

An unexpected error occurred while connecting to the report server. Verify that the report server is available and configured for SharePoint integrated mode.

....as does any attempt to generate any reports from a Report Library.  There are no errors in any Event Logs on either server.

Also, I cannot go to http://server2/ReportServer/ReportService2006.asmx, it just repeatedly prompts me for a login.

Any help is appreciated, thank you.

    Moses
