Reporting Services on a Single Server Installation
Reporting Services on a Single Server Installation
- 1)Is it possible to install Repoting Services on a MOSS single server environment?
2)What are the steps?
I have a SQL 2005 SP2 server that I'm trying to integrate with the MOSS single server environment. I have added the MOSS 2007 web front in to the SQL 2005 SP2 and installed the Reporing services on MOSS server. I do not see a section that says Reporting Services in Central Administration.

- I think the easiest way (We use it always to start learning something) is always to install every thing in the same machine..But ofcourse for performance issues this is not good at all.
You should check the following requirements:
1-You have SQL 2005 standard edition at least+SP2.
2-Make sure to install the Reporting Services component during installing SQL 2005.
3-Installing SQL Server reporting services add-in.
4-You must have IIS installed on the same server you are installing SQL Reporting Services on
This is a good step by step tutorial for installing and configuring SQL 2005 Reporting Services with SharePoint 2007:
