We have one SharePoint user reported his alert email is different from his email account.
His correct userID is “NA\userID” and the email should be userID@qualcomm.com as indicated in AD. However the email looks likeuserID@quicinc.com that is different from the correct email. In addition, we check the alert on the site, the alert displayed is “userID_alias (NA\user_alias)” instead of "userID (NA\userID)". The people picker displays the different search result from different webapps if we search userID.
Anyone has any suggestions to debug or resolve this issue?

Have you ever changed the user's email to "userID@quicinc.com " before?

Do you have more than 1 smtp address conntected with the userid in Exchange? Is it possible that something at the exchange level is defaulting to a primary address?
Failing that, has the user experienced a name change recently? Or has the domain name changed?
