Can you burn a DVD from a SharePoint 2010 library?

Question

My client is trying to burn a DVD from a number of large files in a SharePoint 2010 library. Is there an OOTB way to do this? I have instructed her to switch to Explorer View in the library and then copy the files. However, she states that it only allows her to copy one file. She is using Windows XP and SharePont 2010 Enterprise.

Alternatively, does she have to copy all files to a temporary folder on her local drive and then burn them?

Personally I have never had any problem copying multiple files via explorer view. Please check back with her on the same.

Yes the only option will to burn files from SharePoint library on a DVD will be to copy those to a local folder, followed by burning the same to DVD's. The DVD's might fail to write if she tries to burn those files directly from the Explorer View.

I agree with Mukesh.

Using Explorer View to copy multiply files into the local driver is a basic function, it should not a problem.

If the issue insists, please let me know whether any error happens from the Page, Event Viewer and ULS logs.

Thank you responses. So I gather that there is no way to directly write do a DVD from a SharePoint library. One must first copy the files to a local location.
