Access 2010 SP1 (slight) Bug in Form Design (when saving a form the name overwrites previous assigned form caption)

Question

Hi all,

If I assign a form caption before saving the form
and I assign a name to the form, that differs from
the forms caption (!!!I always do so!!!), then
access changes the forms caption to the forms name :(

This is a Bug to me!!

Yes it does.  I always save my form before I put any objects in it or change any properties, then I design it (change properties and add objects).  Works for me.

Thank you for taking time to deal with my post :)

You wrote "... Works for me."
But In my eyes this means : "I know, how to work arround that issue."

So I only gave my opinion about that issue,
to give the creators and maintainers of Access the chance,
to make the product a little bit bitter.

(and, of course Acc2010 has more and much uglier bugs than this one ;-)

I'm not saying it's not a bug and Microsoft does monitor this site, so they may see this and improve the product.  I'm just saying with all the things that have and could be wrong, this one seem inconsequential.

Dont get me wrong. I have to excuse, my english is not state of the art (I'm German).

I only would like to say, that my captions always differ from my names.
Not (and that would be really insane), that I'm hoping each time, Access would not overwrite the caption ;-)

My apologies.  It would be nice for the name not to be overwritten that way the work around would not necessary - but for now it is.
